Compas Reentry Program
The Old Pueblo Community Services and Compass Healthcare have collaborated to provide a state-wide re-entry program for male and female offenders on the verge of parole revocation. The outcome of this program will be to reduce recidivism, prevent relapse, and enhance public safety. Casa Santa Clara and the Oasis House programs in Tucson provide residential services and Compass Healthcare provides behavioral health services.
Only Arizona Department of Corrections Parole Officers can refer offenders to this program.
Program Eligibility
• 1st Priority: Those who are high risk, have high needs, are homeless or have unstable residence and require placement in lieu of revocation;
• 2nd Priority: High risk, high need, at risk of revocation due to unstable placement and have started to violate condition of supervision;
• 3rd Priority: High risk, high need, at risk of violating, just out of prison and homeless.
Offender Eligibility
* Must have 90 days of supervision left and high risk, high need
* Not have Intensive Supervision Level
* No violent crime convictions, no sex offense convictions or crimes against children as defined in ARS 13-604 and 13-604.01 as follows:
1. First degree murder
2. Second degree murder
3. Manslaughter
4. Aggravated assault resulting in serious physical injury or involving the discharge, use or threatening exhibition of a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument.
5. Sexual assault
6. Arson of a structure
7. Armed robbery
8. Burglary – first degree
9. Kidnapping
10. Dangerous crimes against children means any of the following that is committed against a minor who is under 15 years of age:
All crimes noted above (1-10)
1. Sexual conduct with a minor under 15
2. Molestation of child
3. Commercial exploitation of a minor
4. Child abuse as prescribed in section 13-3623, subsection A paragraph 1 of
ARS
5. Child prostitution as defined in section 13-3213 of ARS
6. Involving or using minors in drug offences
7. Continuous sexual assault of a child
8. Attempted first degree murder
